General Information

Good News for our baptized, yet inactive, Catholic brothers and sisters! Welcome Home Catholics is launching                    "A Fresh Start"
right here to invite you back to Mass and the sacraments. This six-part series brings to your screens WHC's time-tested parish format listed on our "What To Expect" page. Recorded at St. Patrick Parish in Lafayette, Louisiana by Channel One Digital, this series features Sunday Mass at St. Ignatius Parish in Mobile, Alabama recorded by Motivation Media.
Also streaming at no charge on YouTube, this video series will help inactive Catholics get back up to speed. WHC host parishes will also be able to access “A Fresh Start” on a tv or tablet at weekly sessions as a springboard for vibrant discussions. So will those unable to attend due to age, illness or distance. Of course, practicing Catholics can also view this refresher of our faith’s essentials.

“A Fresh Start” launches this Easter to respond to inquiries about the many Catholics who are not in touch with their local parishes. But, you don’t have to wait until Easter! Attend a Mass near you today and the WHC sessions. To learn more and see this season’s participating parishes, visit the Schedule page.First, preview below ...                 “A Fresh Start.”

Prayers of the Faithful

For

Prayers of the Faithful During Advent

For those who have drifted away from the Church, that we may welcome them home to Christ’s loving embrace.

For our Church family, that we may be outward signs of God’s love to our inactive Catholics.

That our inactive Catholics may find comfort and peace in the Sacraments of Reconciliation and the Eucharist during this season of Advent.

That our parishioners may emulate the Blessed Mother’s journey to St. Elizabeth to bring Jesus to others this Christmas season and throughout the New Year.

That the Holy Spirit will guide baptized Catholics who have been away the sacraments to return to full communion with the Church.

That all who are separated from the Church may come to possess the great joy of knowing God’s compassionate love and acceptance.

That those returning to the Church to celebrate with us this Autumn may be blessed with a renewal of faith and a closer walk with the Lord.

That those who are troubled and separated from God may find peace in the sacrament of Reconciliation.

For those who have left the Church, that the Lord’s compassionate love will lead them back home.

For those who accepted our invitation to return home to the Church, that they may be blessed with a renewal of faith and a closer walk with the Lord.
