Welcome Home Catholics
A FRESH START
Good News for baptized, yet inactive, Catholics! You can make “A Fresh Start” right here! This new six-part video series builds on WHC’s time-tested parish process described on our “What To Expect” page to help you return to Mass and the sacraments. Recorded at St. Patrick Parish in Lafayette, Louisiana, this series also features Sunday Mass at St. Ignatius Parish in Mobile, Alabama and the finest Biblical art including the works of Rembrandt, da Vinci and Caravaggio.
“A Fresh Start” also streams at no charge on YouTube to help even more inactive Catholics get back up to speed. WHC host parishes can easily access “A Fresh Start” on a TV, laptop or tablet at weekly WHC sessions as a springboard for vibrant discussions. So will those unable to attend due to age, illness or distance. “A Fresh Start” is also helpful for related ministries like OCIA. Practicing Catholics can view as a refresher of our faith’s essentials.
Your parish can host or sponsor WHC in any of three seasons each year: after Christmas, Easter and Labor Day. See this season’s parishes on the Schedule Page. But, inactive Catholics don’t have to wait to come home. Attend Mass this Sunday, or better still, today, to rediscover the joy of life with the Risen Lord! Then make “A Fresh Start” right here!
Welcome Home Catholics reaches out to inactive Catholics,
inviting them to draw closer to Jesus.

Prayers of the Faithful for Lent
For those who have drifted away from the Church that we may be signs of the Lord’s love and care for them.
That our inactive Catholics may come to know the great joy of God’s abundant love and mercy to guide them home to the sacraments.
That those separated from the Church may find comfort and peace in the Sacraments of Reconciliation and the Eucharist during this Lenten season.
